Husky dog sled rides have come to the UK at Croft Farm, Tewkesbury
Now you don’t have to travel to Alaska to experience the thrills of husky, sled dog trekking. Situated in the river Avon valley, enjoy the picturesque trails on the ride of a lifetime. Arctic Quest offers one of the most exciting, exhilarating and memorable animal experiences possible. Don’t just take our word for it, check out our superb reviews on trip advisor.
To fully capitalise on your experience you can choose to stay in our traditional Sami Tipi or Herder’s Hut, which comes complete with campfire, hides, furs and beds and is the perfect way to top off your adventure. And for the real hardcore out there – you can stay in winter too. Please check out the Tipi/Herder’s Hut page for full details and booking forms.
This is not a sit on look at the scenery type of ride, we train you to run the dogs yourselves, we are the only company in the UK, which will let you ride a racing rig with a team of huskies as your lead. You can expect to get fully invloved with the pack, learn all about these incredible athletes and spend as much hands on time with them as you like. Even when relaxing over the campfire with a brew the team will still expect some attention and cuddles. We only run twice a day with a maximum of 4 on our full mush experience, so you can really get the most out of your adventure.
We are very proud to be at the forefront of welfare for working dogs and along with other companies in the UK have created the Assocation of British Sleddog Operators - www.abso.org.uk. This is a benchmark standard of care for working sleddogs and all ABSO members must reach a level of accreditation before approval. Look for the operators logo to ensure quality of care.

Please be aware we do get very busy especially at weekends. Try and plan your adventure well in advance to make sure we can fit you in. Please call or email to check availablity and make a booking. We can’t always take your calls as we may be out working the team, but leave us a message and we will get back to you. Alternatively you can catch all the latest about the teams’ adventures on facebook or give us a tweet on twitter.
We don’t think there’s a much more environmentally way to travel than dog sledding, but we still like to do our bit.Our campfires are made using recyled sawdust briquettes, which are a 100% renewable biomass fuel, and are carbon neutral to the atmosphere, and paper bricks, which we make ourselves from old shredded newspapers.
- We recycle glass, paper, cans, plastic, cardboard and used printer cartridges
- To reduce packaging waste, we buy in bulk and use refills when possible
- Where appropriate, we purchase recycled products
- We conduct our business by e-mail and telephone as much as we can to minimise paper use.
- We get meat off cuts for the dogs from our local supermarket and our campfire meals are from sustainably farmed small holdings.
Did you know dog waste goes to land fill? So we’ve invested in a dog poo converter (worm farm) complete with around 1500 worms. These wiggly guys will munch through the waste and eventually turn it into garden manure- cool heh! That is a committment to recycling!!
